I Will Trust...
Dear Papa,
Will
Your promises ever come to pass? When will this wait be over? I feel so
burdened and lost. I know patience is an essential part of the fruit of the
Spirit but how do I truly rest in Your presence? You keep saying You have
called me and my future is going to be amazing but when can I see the
manifestation? The battle lines have been drawn; will my mind win or will my
heart be victorious?
In
this season, I am reminded of Abraham who had to walk by faith and forsake
all other opinions. His focus on You led him to leave his father’s house. He
held on to the promise You made to him through thick and thin. Like Abraham, I feel pressured to have
an Ishmael because I want to satisfy this world and the desires of my flesh
with the feeling that the promise is being fulfilled. What I keep forgetting
is Your ways are way higher than mine and so are Your thoughts. A blissful life
is one that is always laid down before You. You see a thousand miles away but I
only see the road that is before me. I
am reminded in Your Word that my present sufferings are not worthy to be
compared to the glory that is ahead. The wait might be long but the
end is beautiful.
Let
Your peace that is beyond human understanding flood my heart. I have come to a
place where I know that life is not a race. Pursuing you is my daily bread.
Walking with You is a daily affair. When the thoughts keep coming at me and it looks like there is no way out, I will listen to Your still small voice that reassures me of Your unending love. May I never put the promises above seeking You and discovering who You are.
Teach me how to be patient in hope. You are my exceedingly great reward and I
look to You alone!
The
best I could ever ask for is You. You are my portion. I love You💓.
Your Child.
